The estimated costs of planting are prorated by age based on remaining production. For example, it is assumed that the producer will have a 4-year crop cycle. The plant-cane will have 100%, first-year stubble 75%, second-year stubble 50% and third-year stubble 25% of its full production potential remaining, respectively. |
